For the New Year 2022

We stand at the threshold of the New Year 2022, a year in which we hope for better things. The Irish spiritual writer John O’Donohue often wrote about renewal and about taking the risk to hope and to trust in ourselves and in God. This excerpt is from his poem “For a New Beginning”. Though your destination is not yet clear You can trust the promise of this opening: Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning That is at one with your life’s desire. Each new year holds promise, the human spirit and the Christian spirit is constantly renewed. We pray for the courage to unfurl ourselves, to launch ourselves into the “grace of beginning”, as we enter the new year full of confidence and hope grounded in the knowledge that we journey in and by the grace of God. I wish you all a Happy and Grace-filled New Year.
