Youth Group

What is it?

The Youth Group is an official group within the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, made up of creative, energetic, and enthusiastic pre-teens, teenagers and young adults.

Who is it for?

Anyone interested in joining us!

What do we do?

We learn about spirituality, help out the community, and of course, HAVE FUN!

Some of our activities:

Worship

Learn to praise through different methods. Examples: Passion Play, Christmas pageant, Easter Sunrise Mass, Youth Choir, Youth homilies.

Fundraising

Help raise money for Youth Ministry and World Youth Day. Examples: Raffles, Bake Sales, Talent Show, Christmas Card project, May Bazaar.

Exploration

Understand bible readings by using a theme and open discussion. Examples: Music and the Media, Dreams, Dating and Relationships.

Fellowship

Get to know each other and make new friends with the youth and the community as a whole. Examples: Bowling, Mini-Putt, Picnic, La Ronde, Skating, Bike Trips, scavenger hunts.

Service

Volunteer our time to help the community. Examples: Old Brewery Mission, Leaf raking in the neighborhood,singing for the elderly.
